What If It’s Not the Devil — But the System?- Letter 006

Updated: Jul 30, 2025

🪘African Proverb: "A man who does not cultivate his farm must not complain of hunger."
A powerful split-image of a Black woman standing tall, with one side showing broken ruins and the other a thriving cityscape — symbolising the transformation from chaos to God-aligned systems. Focus keyword: what if it’s not the devil but the system?

Dear Daughter,

I know you’ve felt it.

That weight that keeps coming back.

The start-stop-start again cycle. The weariness of always trying… but never quite arriving.

And maybe you’ve even whispered it:

The enemy must be busy in my life.”

But I need to tell you something I’ve learned the hard way:

The enemy isn’t always loud.

He doesn’t need to launch fresh attacks when the system is doing all the work for him.

That’s what Sarah Jakes preached, and it pierced me.

The devil isn’t that busy. He just builds a system — and lets it repeat.

A pattern of overperforming.

A rhythm of self-abandonment.

A structure of survival dressed up as strength.

And if we don’t pause long enough to disrupt the cycle…

We end up calling spiritual what’s systemic. And that’s the heart of it, isn’t it? What if it’s not the devil but the system quietly shaping how we live, respond, and break down?

🩷 What if it’s not the devil but the system?

It’s not just business jargon or backend tech. A system is simply:

A set of interconnected patterns and structures that produce a consistent outcome — whether good or bad.

In other words: What you repeat… becomes your reality.

If your system is survival?

You’ll keep feeling depleted — even when life looks “good.”

If your system is silent?

You’ll keep losing your voice — even in rooms you prayed to enter. If your system is shame? You’ll keep apologising for simply being.

Like the woman who kept burning out every three months — not because she lacked purpose, but because her system was wired for proving, not resting.

But here’s the good news:

Systems aren’t sacred.

They’re man-made.

Which means… they can be re-designed.

🛠️ The Work We Do Here

At TinaTalks™, we don’t just talk about identity.

We build it.

Because I’m not just a coach — I’m an architect.

And I believe God doesn’t just redeem your life —He redesigns the systems that shape it.

Right now, I’m quietly building what will sustain many — blueprints, rhythms, and tools forged in the quiet work of grace.

It’s spreadsheets and prayers.

Late nights and sacred strategy.

But once a God-aligned system is in place?

It becomes rhythm.

It runs with grace. It breathes with ease.

And when disruption comes (and it will)… You pivot. You don’t collapse.

💭 Let This Sink In

You don’t need another emotional high.

Not another crash-and-burn season.

But a sustainable way of becoming.

An operating system that holds your identity secure.

You don’t need a new version of yourself.

You need a new system.

One rooted in truth. Powered by grace.

Flexible enough to grow with you —but firm enough to hold your destiny.

That’s the work we do here.

That’s the rhythm we build.

That’s the system we’re designing — together.

And once it clicks? It’s not just a breakthrough.

It’s a blueprint.

You were never just meant to survive. You were called to build.

And daughter, we build better together.

I will no longer live by default. I will build by design.

📖 What the Word Says About Systems

  • Genesis 1 – From chaos to cosmos: God uses systems (light, time, separation, sequence) to create order.

  • Acts 6 – The early church grew by designing new systems to solve breakdowns in care.

  • 1 Corinthians 14:33 – “God is not a God of disorder but of peace.”

  • Romans 12:2 – Transformation starts by renewing your mental systems and thought patterns.

🩷 Old Systems vs. God-Aligned Systems

Old System

God-Aligned System

Overperformance

Grace-rooted identity and capacity stewardship

Shame loops

Christ-centred worth and value

Hustle as identity

Purposeful rhythms and holy margin

Emotional suppression

Safe release and emotional honesty

Self-abandonment

Boundaries + integration of soul and purpose

✍🏽 Reflection Prompts

  • What systems are quietly running your life?

  • Are they producing freedom or fatigue?

  • Where are you repeating survival instead of embracing rhythm?

  • What small shift could activate a big transformation?

  • What would a system look like if it were designed by grace?

🔗 Let’s Build Better. Together.

This isn’t just a message.

It’s a movement.

We’re not just breaking chains.

We’re building blueprints.

🩷 Becoming Moves

  1. List the current systems running your life — spiritual, emotional, and vocational.

  2. Circle the ones producing exhaustion instead of alignment.

  3. Ask God: “What new system do You want to build with me?”

  4. Choose one habit to interrupt and redesign this week.

  5. Write a declaration: “I don’t live by default. I build by design.”

Let’s dismantle the old. Let’s design what’s next.

The enemy hides in design flaws, too.

You were never meant to survive broken systems — you were born to rebuild them.
